Lexington Avenue Before & After
A recently updated pre-war studio apartment can pose the challenge of maximizing a small floor plan. The strategically placed bookshelf effectively separates the living space from the bedroom, thus creating a one-bedroom without altering the structure.
The empty apartment lacked a personality. The client wanted something modern but warm for his first apartment, while minding a budget. The new light fixtures illuminate the space, and the white curtains create privacy without blocking the natural light. The large pieces like the bookshelf and sofa are nondescript, allowing the accessories to speak for themselves.
Fifth Avenue Studio Before & After
The unique shape of the Fifth Avenue studio apartment is due to the fact that this building was once a hotel. The challenge was to create a separate sleep area without making the main living area feel closed in or segregated was achieved by adding the white dividers. They allow light to fill the space and are unobtrusive since the walls of the apartment are also white. Every corner of this 329 square foot apartment is being utilized by the client. The apartment feels much larger than it is since the furnishing are perfectly sized to suit the space.
